As a senior for one of my leadership projects I was to come up with a leadership project that I could do with the community. I chose to put on a Ag Carnival to spread global awareness of agriculture. This was a semester long project and me and one other person got to plan out together. We asked Agriculture clubs on campus to help with the event. They each came with an educational activity over different aspects in agriculture. We also had a reading center and an agricultural craft. Each child who came got a free t-shirt and a snack. I think this was a really good way for me to spread awareness about agriculture to children. Through this I learned key leadership skills and learned the importance behind educating our youth.
